RNDr. Václav Hampl, DrSc. awarded the Bolzano Award students of the university for their exceptional achievements in science. The awarded stud Bc. Martin Dekarli, Th.D., Mgr. Vít Pospíšil, Ph.D., and RNDr. Jiří Tauchman, Ph.D. The ceremony to award the Bolzano Award took place on Thursday, January 31st in the small Karolinum. The three laureates were given a diploma from the Rector of Charles University, Hampl, who also appreciated their excellent scientific work. The new Bolzano Award holders recognition and a financial reward. "Congratulation to the laureates, and also to all those who were not given the award this the quality of all the works entered was more than satisfactory. It is wonderful that such scientific research is born in the heads and under the hands of Charles University student genuinely happy," underlines the Rector. The Bolzano Award is a prestigious recognition given by the Rector to those students of Ch who achieve extraordinary scientific results in social sciences, natural sciences and in m year, the competition was held for the twelfth time. The 2012 Bolzano Award for social sciences was given to Mgr. Martin Dekarli, Th.D., for hi thesis called “Church and Freedom: Prolegomenon to Ecclesiology and Moral Theology of John defended it at the Hussite Theological Faculty of CU. The 2012 Bolzano Award for medicine was given to Mgr. Vít Pospíšil, Ph.D., for his dissert called “Role of the oncogenic microRNAs miR-17-92 and miR-155 in the regulation of hematop differentiation and leukemogenesis” and he defended it at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of C The 2012 Bolzano Award for natural sciences was given to RNDr. Jiří Tauchman, Ph.D. For hi thesis called “Phosphinoferrocene conjugates of selected amino acid" and he presented it a Science of CU.
