During this year, Charles University accepted more than 1,200 students, maintaining its long-held first place amongst Czech universities. The ERASMUS programme was founded in 1987 and has made it possible for more than three mil to study abroad in the years since. Universities from more than 33 European countries curr in the programme. In the 2011/12 academic year more than 250 thousand students and more th pedagogues travelled abroad with ERASMUS.
