Day of Societies, 24th February 2014 ****************************************************************************************** * Day of Societies, 24th February 2014 ****************************************************************************************** The Day of Societies which took place last week of February at the Faculty of Law allowed associations to present themselves in an informal manner. At the same time, it was a great students to get to know more about them and decide if they would like to become members an actively with these organisations in their quest to achieve their objectives. VŠEHRD, Juristi, Common Law Society, ELSA and Prager Deutscher Klub: five different bodies all meeting at the same time and place to share their projects with the general public. Ea its own stand at the atrium of the Law building, where they had posters, information about activities and even some snacks for those who went by. VŠEHRD is the oldest association for Law students in the Czech Republic. Former Czech Pres Havel used to be a member during his time at university. This society is currently prepari seminars and conferences for the upcoming semester, some of which will be given by interna organisations such as UNICEF. Juristi started its activity at Charles University in 2007. It offers some great opportuni members, including the possibility to get an internship in a law firm. ELSA (European Law Students Association) is the most expanded society for Law students on Its most immediate projects include a moot court, which will take place next month with pa many different countries, and an exchange programme in which members of this organisation another country.
