Charles University takes first place in 10th Czech Academic Games!

            The biggest university sporting event involving individuals, university teams and sports c
            Between June 5 and 10, 2011, some 2,400 students – 340 them from Charles University – comp
            stadiums, indoor arenas and outdoor sports venues. In the overall school ranking, our univ

            first out of 43 teams, scoring 340 points.
            Overall rating – results:
            1st place: Charles University, 340 points

            2nd place: Czech Technical University in Prague, 274 points
            3rd place: University of Economics, Prague, 188 points

            Charles University students participated in 53 events, taking:
            35 gold medals
            35 silver medals

            23 bronze medals
            In collective sports our students gave outstanding performances in men’s and women’s footb
            softball and women’s floorball. As for individual sports I was impressed by their performa

            track-and-field and swimming events.
