At a ceremonial gathering on November 8, the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové celebrated the 65^th anniversary of its foundation by the President of Czechoslovakia, Dr. Edvard Beneš. The event took place in the large auditorium of the theoretical institutes building. The Dean of the faculty, Professor Miroslav Červenka, delivered a talk about the history of the faculty and gave commemorative diplomas to Professor MUDr. Vladimír Brzek, CSc. and Professor MUDr. Rudolf Malec, CSc. Professor MUDr. Jaromír Emr, CSc., could not receive the diploma in person due to illness. Among the guests were many top university officials.
