Competition to Address The Urbanistic Vision of Charles University in 2030
On January 28, management of the university met with representatives of the Student Union and the City Development Authority Prague to design the semester-long projects competition for the faculties and schools of architecture. The projects should address the urbanistic vision of the university in the period until 2030.
The university and the Student Union, which was the driving force behind the project, aim to have a student competition to assess various possibilities of the university's future development. The projects will be supervised by teachers from respective schools. The specifications of the competition will be suited to the needs of Charles University and coordinated with the City Development Authority Prague. Renowned Czech architects and professor of architecture and urbanism were be asked to be on the jury.
Any school project on the topic that fulfills the requirements so that it can be reviewed and assessed by the jury, can enter the competition, held by Charles University and its Student Union with assistance from the City Development Authority Prague.
The subsequent meeting on February 18 was the first to be held with the members of the jury.
