“I have been in contact with the management of the CU Faculty of Social Sciences from the moment I heard about the disaster at Hollar. It is with great sorrow that I heard about what happened. It appears highly likely that no students or university employees were injured,” said CU Rector Professor Václav Hampl.

An ad hoc meeting place on Monday morning, during which university management, together with the Dean of the CU FSS, Dr. Jakub Končelík, discussed the question of securing the Hollar building, including personal items left behind by students and employees during the evacuation. CU FSS management shall make an announcement on its website as soon as it is possible to collect personal items from the Hollar building.

For safety reasons, the Hollar building is closed to all students and employees until further notice. Restrictions are also in place in the vicinity of other CU FSS locations, in Jinonice and Opletalova, where amenities are not available.

For further information, please follow the FSS websites.
