I ty se můžeš stát Miss UK!

For the first time in history the Students’ Union of Charles University is co-organizing an official beauty pageant. All female students of Charles University can apply to take part. Miss Charles University will be named by a special jury on December 1^st at Prague’s Roxy Club. The spectators will decide on the People’s Choice title while an internet vote on Miss Internet will be held on the website of Expresradio.

APPLICATIONS

Contestants can send in their applications by October 15^th (by 23:59) by e-mail to entering their name, age, subject of study, measurements and weight. Contestants must submit three photographs – one portrait, one full length and one of their own choice.

AUDITION

A selection of 8 finalists will take place on October 29^th 2011 at the InterContinental Hotel. “Every contestant will be judged on many criteria in order to dazzle not only the whole of our university but also to overshadow the beauty queens of all other universities in Prague,” organizer Tomáš Gavlas says.

THE PAGEANT

The grand final at Prague’s Roxy Club on December 1^st will be hosted by Štěpán Krpata (Baboon). Besides the selection of Miss Charles University 2011 you can look forward to swimsuit modelling and evening gown modelling, as well as a performance by The Prostitutes and MOOW bands.

TICKETS TO THE FINAL

Tickets will be available at the box office for CZK 150, in advance sale for CZK 99. Information on reduced-price advance sale tickets is yet to be published.
