Signing Ceremony of General Memorandum of Agreement between Kobe University and Charles University of Czech Republic

Rector Václav Hampl of Charles University, Czech visited Kobe University on November 2, 2006. The main purpose of his visit was the official signing ceremony of the General Memorandum of Agreement between the two institutions. Located in the capital city of Prague, Charles University is the oldest university in Central Europe with a history dating back to 1348. As one of the oldest, most prestigious university in Europe, it greatly influenced the formation of the European culture. The modern day Charles University has over 45,000 students studying in its 17 faculties.
